Lady Gaga + Zynga Want to Celebrate “Born This Way”
Yes, the rumors are true. Zynga’s gone Gaga according to Businesswire.com. The Social Gaming company announced on Tuesday, May 10, their plans of launching Gagaville — a collaboration with Lady G, herself, to celebrate the “Born This Way” album dropping on Monday, May23.
Here Are the “Deets”
According to the Businesswire.com Press Release, FarmVille Players will get first dibs (an exclusive) to listen to “Born This Way” songs in Zynga’s latest game, GagaVille Farm. This collaboration extends further than just Lady Gaga and Zynga, Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio is also in on the action. The iHeartRadio application will be the provider of the “Born This Way” songs through the GagaVille Farm game.
So here it is Little Monsters, by entering GagaVille, a neighboring farm located in FarmVille, you’ll get access to Mother Monster’s newest un-released songs from “Born This Way,” as well as a few other surprises. Yes, these surprises may even involve unicorns and crystals. Did you really expect anything less?
GagaVille – It’s Like an Onion With All These Layers, But Better
Another layer added on to this multi-facted collaboration involves a bundle package available exclusively at Best Buy – by purchasing a “special” $25 Zynga game card, a bundled “Born This Way” full-album download will be included.
Another layer added to the Lady Gaga + Zinga partnership is that GagaVille isn’t where the partnership will end. There will also be:
- Zynga Game Cards with free album
- “Words With Gaga” contest - a spin on “Words With Friends”
- Limited Edition items available in Zynga’s RewardVille (that can be used in multiple Zynga games).
The “Words With Gaga” contest will have prizes that include concert tickets and a signed copy of the new album. Little Monsters who want nothing to do with FarmVille can rejoice even more, the “Words With Gaga” contest is a separate promotion from FarmVille. According to MTV News, “The game will feature a Gaga-themed word of the day, which you’ll be able to utilize during your matches. Doing so enters “Word With Friends” players into a contest” to win prizes that include autographed copies of “Born This Way” and concert tickets.

The GagaVille promotion will run from May 17 to the 26th. When asked why she got involved in this unique endeavor, Lady Gaga said, “I want to celebrate and share ‘Born This Way’ with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before.” Mother Monster also added, that GagaVille will be a “magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play, and be the first to listen to the album.”
