5 Reasons the New Facebook Page Set-up Will Help Your Business
Like any business, Facebook is constantly “changing it up.” While some changes have been viewed as negative – cough cough privacy settings – the most recent page update is definitely a positive for consumers and businesses alike.
Here’s why.
1. Posting Notification. On the old Facebook page, moderators had no choice but to constantly check the page for inappropriate comments, spam, etc. Now, email notifications let administrators know when someone has posted on their Facebook page and what was said.
2. Cleaner Tab Listing. The old Facebook featured clunky tabs at the page. If you had more than the 4-5 tabs, they were listed in an awkward side column. Now the tabs are neatly listed at the left-hand side of the page, beneath the picture. Four is still the tab standard, but now to view the rest all you have to do is click “more.”
3. Prominent Page Likes. Now you can connect with other businesses with page likes; prominently featured under the tabs section on the left-hand side of the screen. For example, if your cupcake shop does a lot of birthday parties, you connect with businesses that cater to mothers and share “likes” to promote each other.
4. Better Admin. Interaction. One of the most frustrating aspects of the old Facebook page was the inability to “like” comments on your page as your business. The new update now allows you to like what others leave on your page or comment on your posts. This enriches the interaction between your business and current/potential consumers.
5. Image Gallery. The newly remodeled image gallery at the top of the Facebook page features five images uploaded in your photos section. You can take this new opportunity to be creative, showcasing products, services, etc. For example, if you are a cupcake shop, you could upload your top five cupcakes or five flavors featured that month. The creative possibilities are endless!
The new Facebook page update gives your company the chance to reach new customers through creative concepts that demonstrate value. From posting notifications, to cleaner tabs, to a new image gallery; the opportunity is there, all you have to do is take it!
